5 Things I Would Want to See In a New Gamera Film

Image
In a recent post , I said I wanted to see Gamera return, perhaps in the Monsterverse. But it would also be great for Gamera to come back and star in his own series of new films. So here are the top five things I would want to see in  new Gamera film(s). 5 - A Badass Design The Gamera 3 design is the most badass looking kaiju ever. I want to see this type of look for him again. He looked pretty mean in Gamera vs. Barugon too. In Gamera the Brave he looked too soft and cute and cuddly. 4 - Underwater Battles He's a turtle, there should be more battles in the water. I read that originally Kaneko envisioned an underwater fight for Gamera 3 but then it was changed to an air battle, but some of the scenes from the air fight against Iris could have worked very well underwater. Gamera fought the shark kaiju Zigra underwater in the 70's but with modern technology I feel we could get a much better battle. 3 - Return of Old Kaiju The return of old kaiju besides Gyaos. Gyaos is great but...

Top 5 Kaiju I Want to See in the Monsterverse

With the announcement of a sequel to the much loved Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) there is a lot of talk about what other monsters should be featured in movies. Here are the top five that I want to see! Number 5: Ebirah - The giant lobster Ebirah would be great to see in a new monsterverse film, especially one with Kong in it since the film (Godzilla vs. The  Sea Monster a.k.a. Ebirah! Horror of the Deep) was supposed to feature Kong instead. We could finally see the two of them duke it out as was originally intended. Plus it would be nice to see a battle that takes place partially underwater, though maybe that part would be better if it were against Godzilla instead. Number 4: Titanosaurus - The dinosaur kaiju whose only appearance so far is Terror of Mechagodzilla, making him and Megalon the only Showa-era kaiju not featured in a sequel. Jet Jaguar and a version of Gabara were featured in the  Singular Point anime. I love Titanosaurus, he looks really cool. His wind-tail ...

Godzilla: Singular Point Anime Review

Godzilla: Singular Point Anime Review by Simon Cary Enoch Hanna-Barbera (1978 - 1980) By http://animesgoldsilver2.blogspot.com/2013/07/desenhos-animados-desenhos-animados.html, Fair use, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?curid=4186579 Godzilla is no stranger to animation. The big G was first animated in the late seventies by Hanna-Barbera in association with Henry G. Saperstein. It's considered corny now, mainly because of Godzooki and Godzilla's Scooby-Doo monster-style roars, but this is an important part of Godzilla history that I have a lot of nostalgia for. The first Godzilla tapes I had were Godzilla vs. Megalon  and the first episode of this series. I didn't care as much for Megalon back then so this   was  Godzilla for me as a child. Furthermore, it was rare that they showed Godzilla movies on television and when they did it was usually on TNT which showed the same five over and over again and only once in a great while such as a New Year's Day marathon. The ...
